Overview

Dr. Andrew Carver, Podiatrist has been practicing podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery for almost 35 years. He has always strived to incorporate the most 'modern and advanced procedures and technology' into his practice. He was one of the original doctors of podiatric medicine to incorporate a CO2 LASER-Xanar, into his practice as early as 1982.

Dr. Carver developed an interest in 'Shock Wave Therapy' or Extracorporal Shock Wave Therapy-(ESWT) about 10 years ago where he utilized it in the hospital or surgery center. Today, he is one of first practitioners to have the new 'EMS SWISS DOLOR CLAST' Shock Wave machine in his office in DC. This treatment has become the 'state of the art' treatment for plantar fasciitis (heel pain), achilles tendonitis, slow healing fractures and other foot and ankle maladies.
